"TRU 688 REST" (878) 688-7378 Patrick@patricklerouge.com

What’s up folks, its Patrick Lerouge here from Evolve Restorative Therapy. You can find me at livepainfreeprocess.com. I help the super athlete eliminate pain for the long term all through self care. What we are talking about today is persevering through pain. A lot of you guys out there are in chronic pain, and it is horrible. Persevering through pain is not pushing through it.

What I want you to understand today is that perseverance is like a set of trials. The way the hidden world works, is that once you create a goal, you don’t instantly get it. You have to work hard for it. So if you want to be a top athlete, you know you have to train. If you want to break down your personal best, you are going to have to work really hard. You know about reaching for your goal, but what you don’t realize is that as soon as you reach that goal, the world comes and gives you many challenges to make sure that you’re ready for that goal.

So with this tip, I want you to bring it into the world of pain relief. The goal you should have in your mind is the following: I want to eliminate pain. So you’re going to go through many different tribulations associated with different types of pain so you can now learn how to live without pain. This is especially true when you are performing self-care, because the more you search, the more your body is going to talk to you through your pain.

When I am saying, let’s persevere through pain, I want you to understand that it is not a long race. It’s going to have peaks and valleys, but each one is going to be different. It will get you to this goal where you will no longer be in pain. It is then that you can manage anything it throws at you. The simple truth is that pain is always going to be here.

It’s a part of life and the way your body talks. Pain will never go away and if it does there is a big problem, because that is the main way your body communicates. As soon as you make that goal for pain relief, you are going to be challenged.   People say they are going to do it, but as soon as they hit their first challenge, they just quit. You’re going to fail a ton! Yet that one time you finish, you are going to feel it! Now you no longer have to worry about those other little trials, because you got stronger through dealing with the tribulations.

The other thing I see on the opposite end of the spectrum, are people who just go through the motions. You actually have to be part of this.   You can’t just go through the motions and think everything will get better. When you go to anyone that helps you with your pain management, you have to be part of that process. If you just do the work, then your body won’t be able to work with you. It needs to train you in how you can communicate with it. If you have been stretching for a long time, but not seeing any progression, it’s because you were not listening to your body. I want you to be very focused and intention-driven when you’re doing all your self-care. Listen to what your body is saying. That’s the only way you are going to make it through these peaks and valleys. The only way you can do this is by being present and realizing that every time you go through pain, there is a learning experience attached to it. See what it is, learn that experience, and then change I so it does not happen again. So many times, we go through something and then make it out alright. You’re always going to make out and become better. It’s what you learn through that experience that is going to put you to the next level. When you go through pain, what you learn from that experience will make you better in the future. If you didn’t learn anything, such as how you got the pain or what worked to get you out of it, you’re going to be bound to that issue again and again.

That’s how you persevere and progress in life. That’s how you can move and live pain free. When you do get pain, you will know how to clear it up and improve yourself all the time. This is an important tip. Once you get pain and you get a challenge — don’t quit! Fight with it and give it all you got! After you have persevered, you will feel so much better because you are more confident and learned from this. If you have any questions or need any help, please call or email me. I’m here for you! Until next time. Bye!
