Today we are going to talk about having your whole body in your hand and in your feet. I am going to be talking about energy that runs through your hand that effectively runs through your body. There is a technique called reflexology. Reflexology is the study of points inside your hand and feet that correlate to things inside your body. Within your hand there are many different acupressure points. This is all Eastern mentality. There are little microscopic, energetic areas and they are pools that could get blocked up. You would go to reflexology to re-balance your energy within these organ structures. This will help that organ structure work even better. It can get very detailed and I want to make it easier for you.

 

— There are microscopic points all over the hands that you have to hit. It can get very confusing very fast. So, I am going to color coordinate it to make it easier. I’m going to show you general areas that correlate to bigger areas so you don’t have to think about it as much. What I want you to think about is the fact that when you stretch your hand, your whole body can feel better. So we could make it very pin-pointed and detailed, but we can also make it very simple, as we are going to do. Both are very necessary for restoring your body and doing something on the fly that we need to. We are going to make it really simple. The way I want you to think about it is: your whole hand is your whole body. The top segment of your fingers, your finger tip on each finger, coordinates to your head. This means headaches, sinuses, top of the brain. For all of these things you would work with the fingertips. All you have to do is point and touch. Press your fingers together and that will generate blood flow to those areas. You can rub them within themselves and that will start to generate blood flow to those areas. The second segment of your fingers coordinates to your neck. So you can rub that area and you will realize that a lot of blood will start to flow there. If you do have some general neck tightness it will start to alleviate – don’t forget that there are other things in here, and we are just helping the whole. I am giving you a simple way of thinking about this. The next part down, which is almost where your hand meets your fingers, is for the shoulders. This will usually be tight because the majority of people hold their tension here. The next step down, onto your palm, will be working down your body. I am not going to go though the details of it, but the further down you go on your palm you can access your stomach, your lungs, and organs. Along your thumb, that curve you see, that’s actually your back, working its way up to your head. Do an experiment one day. If you are having back tightness, poke along your thumb. You may be able to find a part that is tender – that will be where you are holding a lot of tension. Energetically, it all needs to be balanced out. Now I am going to show you how to communicate with all this; it’s very easy. After you are done rubbing your hands you will notice you will feel so much better. It is because you are accessing this and bringing energy through your whole body, if you’ve gone somewhere and had your hands massaged or rubbed you may have experienced this. I want you to occasionally rub your hands. Not a digging action. But hold and press, see your skin pulling up and hold for a few seconds, and then move. Make nice, easy motions and breathe with it. If you are having pain in your shoulders you might see that your pinky might be a little sore, you want to just hold and move it around. Keep working through other areas of your body. This is the most important, stretching is a way to get energy to start learning how to move and breathe within itself. What I want you to do is take your hand and open your hand slightly and all you have to do is pull a finger back and stretch it. You are going to feel a stretch from your fingertip all the way down to your palm. You want to do that for each area. It’s just a nice, easy hold. You want to get your body used to learning how to open, so start talking to your body. It’s not about holding a stretch forever, but about communicating with your body. Your thumb is a “saddle joint” – it moves in many directions – so what you want to do is grab the thumb and pull it out and down, or you can pull it towards your palm and use the other fingers to hold it down and stretch. The pointing and the holding will start to get your whole hand to start working better. This is something that you can do while you are in the car at a red light, while you sit at your desk waiting for a phone call, while you are on a phone call. The more you do things to restore your body, the more your body will do the things that you want it to do. We want to continue to heal ourselves.
