Today’s video mini-series is “How to condition a proper breathing habit”.
When people think about breathing routines, it is an exercise to calm themselves. Rarely do they ponder the pattern of breathing. This video shows you how to condition yourself by focusing on breathing out not taking a breath in. Making that a focal point gets you to change how you breath daily, creating a habit that continuously diminishes stress rather than allowing it to accumulate.
How to condition a proper breathing habit
The main thing that you need to do to retrain your breathing habit is change your focal point. Focusing on the blowing out rather than taking the big deep breath in. Doing this will retrain the daily habit of breathing. We use breathing exercises as a way to de-stress, not realizing stress is an all day affair.
Doing this style of breathing daily throughout the day as an exercise will condition the muscles and timing of how you breathe. The true beauty happens when, a few weeks down the line, you become aware that you are breathing like this without trying: that is when the habit has set in. Give this some time and consistent practice. In the video I have a slight focus on the verbiage I use with my kids to get them to do this, so be aware of how you speak to yourself while doing the exercise.

Can’t wait to read your thoughts in the comments and as always thanks for watching!
We all feel that we all are falling apart. It is a common occurrence to stay the course and continue to have pain that keeps popping up or keep not getting the results you want when it comes to a health care plan.
There comes a point in readjusting your plan when you must look at your starting point and see if that is correct. In the case of the human body and how we address our ailments, I believe we’ve gone slightly off target. And, this is why we keep falling apart.
Your starting point to any project or experiment is critical to long-term change in a positive way. In this case, we are working with making our bodies work more efficiently. And, for many, we have had a single starting point all our lives that has never been examined or tweaked.
Our starting point is the cause of us feeling like we are falling apart
Everything looks normal to me right? Nope, I realize now that no one’s body will ever be this perfect. Yet, we are are shooting for it because we have seen it forever. The old days of learning showed a different image to learn from.
In this image, I see a body I see all the time – unbalanced and showing the natural curves and adaptions of the body. This is normal and this is what we need to start from.
In the series, I will take apart why we are falling apart from a new perspective of normal:a body that is adaptable and will change all the time. Our constant in healing the human body is the fact we changed the world in a predictable manner.
Here’s the final segment of living the beach life. I’m going to show you how I manage my three kids once they fall asleep because of all the water play and digging in our big hole.
But first I have to say, Michelle and I have been at this for a while and we’ve had to buy a few things to make it work. Normally I don’t show you things you need to buy, but in this case, a proper chair and a tent that you can put sleeping kids in are all key things to living life with kids on the beach 🙂
From this point on, you have prepped your day on the beach beautifully! You have figured out why you are there and how you really check out. You’ve set up some earthing games that get your kids to play in the water and learn about the world, in two ways. If you haven’t watched the previous videos please watch them here
BUT WHAT ABOUT RELAXING
Relaxing is what we all want to do, and if you do this right, then you can, from playtime to your seated time. Having my kids fall asleep on me is one of the best experiences ever.
The kicker is the chair I have, its called a high boy because my hips and legs are higher off the beach this gives my body a better position to be in. Once my child falls asleep I put her in a guarded tent, all while I sit and drink my lovely beverage. This is how we live our life with kids.
Here’s just one more reason to have a big hole for your kids to play in: so you can relax in your comfy-not-so-comfy beach chair.
Living the beach life can be stressful if you allow it. That is why I am going to share one more benefit to having a big hole on the beach. This takes some planning and some sweat to do, but the results pay off. Having three kids I need all the time and space alone I can create for myself. To create this get creative and think ahead. If I simply allowed things to just happen, I would be chasing kids all day long.
In the previous video, I spoke about the big hole on the beach, but close to the water, so you can find sea life. This hole has a lot to do with when the parent (aka me) wants to sit more and needs the kids to be close and safe.
Get Out There Before Them
By getting out slightly earlier than the family, I get to set the stage and create a narrative the kids will finish.
I dig the big hole on the beach and start putting castle blocks up. When I start to get tired of running after kids and water play, I go to the upper big hole on the beach by the chairs and start building a castle with them. THEY will need to finish the castle wall and add whatever else they feel needs to be added to make it dope 🙂
HERE ARE MY GIRLS BUILDING IN THE HOLE.

Continuing living the beach life mini-series, I am walking you through how we stay checked out while connecting to what makes you heal.
Not forcing a relaxed state is harder than one thinks, and most do not realize that the more genuine the relaxation is, the more healing happens.
Living the beach life is not about sitting on the beach reading a book. It’s not about not worrying about anything. Remember our body is not designed to sit and stay still. It is about movement and connection. If you have not watched the first video please check out why we are on the beach and how to check out.
Connecting Is The Key To Healing
When doing anything to make yourself feel better, the more you can feel and connect the more benefits you will receive. The beach life is the same thing. Doing activities that get you moving naturally and connecting to the world will get you the most benefits. Here I show you the two stations we do on the beach. Both have one theme in common.
Being A Child
This is my next secret to Rapid Healing. The more you can show high energy naturally, the faster you heal. Using the state of curiosity and wonder gives you that state easily.
Listen to when Tyler finds the shark tooth. His energy skyrockets. All you have to do to acheive that is begin to look around and find something unexpected, bend down and get it all in amazement. It’s an instant recipe for healing.
There is so much in this world that’s not in our daily life and we don’t see often. Get in there and experience it, When doing this you stretch more than your hips and back. It stretches your mind, too. And, once you make a habit of stretching your mind, you have connected to another pillar for experiencing rapid healing.
Connecting the mind and body is always spoken about and living my beach life will connect that.
To live and move pain-free is more than physical work. There is more to life than just the physical world there is a detachment that we need to learn. Today we will be showing you how to do live the beach life. This is one of the activities we rarely do to check out of the rat race. Checking out and living the beach life is an amazing and peaceful thing if you plan it and learn to be at ease.
There is a difference between going somewhere to check out and actually checking out. Preparation has to be done in order for our busy minds to calm down. I have three kids and a wife I have to stay connected to, and if I just wing going to the beach and hope I will check out, I have a serious wake-up call coming.
The Art Behind Calming The Mind
I am realizing that there is an art to calming the mind in any situation. Being prepared is key but the intention is where you start.
Ask yourself where can I go to completely check out. Where ever it is to prepare yourself for the obstacles that stop you from standing there in amazement of the wonders of natures. That is what will stop you from experiencing the calm. It looks like this picture of Devin during sunrise one morning. She just stood so still and that child does not sit still.
I speak with clients and they say they know how to check out, they explain the earthing qualities they get when their feet are in the ocean and their skin is bathed in the vitamin D of the sun. But they do not say anything about their mind being calm and clear so they can feel more.
Experiencing the beach is how you know you are in the sweet spot of healing. Watching the water, hearing the water feeling how it has the power to push you back and forth. Those are the experiences that get you to feel, Feeling anything turns off the logical mind and allows healing to rapidly take place.
Make the intention to experience the action you are doing and prepare yourself the obstacles that will get in your way next, for me its kids 🙂 and I will explain how I get around that through this months mini-series.
